Becky Simpson is the founder of Chipper Things, a paper and lifestyle brand that celebrates play. She is also an art director, illustrator, author, and emerging speaker, known to share helpful insights on the creative feats of starting, finishing, and play. In 2015, Adobe selected Becky to be one of their inaugural Creative Residents. During this yearlong residency, she built and launched Chipper Things, sharing her process with the Adobe community along the way. Chipper Things now features over 80 illustrated products and can be found in retail stores nationwide. Apart from being a business owner, she is also the author and illustrator of The Roommate Book (Andrews McMeel) and I’d Rather Be Short (Plume Books).
Becky’s work reflects her passion for lighthearted connection, often conceptualizing her own quirks and delighting in the oddity of others. You can find her personal work and Chipper Things products featured on everywhere from The Great Discontent to Refinery29, RealSimple, Allure Magazine, Adobe Create, HOW Design, and more. When she’s not packing a bag to speak or explore someplace new, she can be found doodling in her studio or eating tacos with husband Greg in Nashville, Tennessee.
