Understanding Spanish cinema from the political transition to the present day necessarily involves recognizing the professional career and work as an author of Fernando Colomo. As a screenwriter, director and producer, his work has given character and content to cinema. Among his most recent films are La Isla Bonita (2015) , for which he was nominated for the Goya for Best New Actor and received the RNE Sant Jordii Award for Cinematography, and La Banda Picasso (2012).Also included in his filmography are La mano negra, awarded at the Mystfest in Italy or La vida alegre, his great success and for which Verónica Forqué received the Goya Award for Best Actress. He is also the author of El caballero del dragón, Alegre ma non troppo, awarded at the Paris Film Festival as Best Film, El efecto mariposa, Los años bárbaros and Bajarse al moro, a film version of the theater play by José Luis Alonso de Santos.
