Franc Ponti is a renowned specialist in creativity and innovation in Spain and Latin America. With more than twenty years of experience, Ponti helps people and companies such as: Makro, Henkel, TVE, Danone, Inditex, Mango, Gas Natural, and T-Systems among others, work towards facilitating innovation by enhancing creative capabilities, developing strategies for creativity and learning to work creatively in teams.
Ponti, has a PhD in Business and Economics from the Universidad de Vic (Central University of Catalonia). He is a director at the Global Innovation Management Centre at EADA, is also a visiting professor at business schools and universities such as the Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok), the Henley Management College (London) and the Leon Kozminski University (Warsaw). He has taken part in many seminars like in the Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives organized by the universities of Harvard, Tufts and the MIT.
From an organizational point of view, Ponti examines how innovative companies, and their management teams, transform their organizations by unlocking creative energy and transforming it into innovation. Ponti’s innovation consultancy work for companies is developed on different stages: detection and diagnosis of strengths and weaknesses, ethnographic study (customers, consumers, and other stakeholders of the company) to identify the "blind spots" of innovation, innovation blitz meetings to discuss the findings of ethnographic studies and generate ideas for improvement and radical breakthroughs for innovation, and construction of prototypes of products or services resulting from innovation.
Franc Ponti has published nine books, five of them are connected to creativity and innovation: “The creative company” (2001), “Passion for innovation” with Xavier Ferrás (2006), “Innovation” (2009) , “If it works, change it!” with Josep M Ferrer Arpí and “Creative Intelligence” (2013) with Lucía Langa. He has worked for some for specialized magazines and newspapers.
