Adventurer. The first Spaniard ever to travel the world by foot, alone and without assistance.
Nacho Dean is, above all, an adventurer. He is the first Spaniard ever to travel the world by foot, alone and without assistance: more people have set foot on the Moon than completed an adventure like his. He walked 33.000 km, visited 31 countries and 4 continents in three years; an unmatched experience that made him realize the importance of counterbalancing climate change and preserve nature. gest.
In his conferences, he uses his own experience, passion and the lessons his adventure taught him to guide individuals and groups towards their personal, corporative and fitness goals. Nacho Dean encourages leadership, motivation and risk management to enhance personal growth. On a different note, and thanks to his deep knowledge of our world, he advocates for sustainable development, environmentally-conscious practices and innovation
Born in Malaga, Spain, Nacho Dean grew up moving a lot: from then he has cultivated an ability to adapt to new environments, a competence that came in handy when confronting the harshest conditions during his trip. Conceived as a tribute to freedom, his adventure exceeded all his expectations despite some dangerous episodes that made him renounce to his African route. He conceives his trip as his own particular way of making his dreams come true, as he shares in his book “Free and Wild: the Great Adventure of Walking Around the World”.
Recently, Dean has culminated the Nemo Expedition: a challenge that consisted of uniting the 5 continents by swimming in order to advocate for ocean conservation, becoming the first and only person in history to complete both challenges.
He was a finalist for the Discovery 2014 Award and the Princess of Asturias Award for Concord in 2015. He has keynoted in several TEDx conferences. Nacho holds a diploma in Advertising and Public Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid and is an Environmental Technician.
