José Ballesteros de la Puerta has created an exclusive learning method in communication, sales, personal development and human relationships called “VESP” (in English, Roads to Personal Evolution and Improvement). Through this platform, Ballesteros has been able to rekindle the flame of change in countless organizations and companies.
Mr. Ballesteros started his professional career at the American company 3M, of which he became Marketing Director for the Health Division in Spain, and Deputy to the General Manager for Europe of the Health Division in Brussels (Dental products). In 1997, Mr. Ballesteros left his job as member of the Board of Directors at American Life Insurance Company in Spain and decided to shift his professional work focusing in the enhancing of employee-personal skills, setting up his own consulting group called VESP.

He has published two books, both in Spanish: “The Puzzle, discover the communicator you have inside” (Temas de Hoy, publishing house), where he develops the essential communicative skills, and “The Challenge, how to enjoy the responsibility of your own life” (Belacqua Publishing House), encouraging people to adopt a constructive attitude.
José Ballesteros obtained his Master of Science in Management at Boston University-Vrije Universiteit in Brussels before joining 3M, where he was quickly promoted to Marketing Director for the 3M Spain Health Division (Pharmacy Division). In 1990 he started working as a Commercial Manager for CIGNA, Manager to the South of Spain, and Direct Marketing Executive. In 1993, he joined the ALICO Group (American Life Insurance Company), as Manager to the Accidents Division and a member of the Board of Directors.

As an academician, Mr. Ballesteros is a guest lecturer at the Business, Economics and Law School of the Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid (ICADE) for their Master in Tourism Business Management and as well as teaching at the Rey Juan Carlos University Master in Basic and Clinic Nutrition, and at the Instituto Universitario Euroforum Escorial for their Master in Sales and Commercial Management. In these courses he specializes in efficient communication skills, making sales, successful seller qualities, teamwork and leadership.
