Proudly Mexican social entrepreneur, lecturer, consultant and mountaineer who has dedicated her professional career to linking the high performance sports world with superior performance in companies through training, motivation and leadership development. Likewise, with the impulse of environmental and social causes for the young people of their country.
General Director of W Consultores and President of the KW Foundation, positions that have allowed her to lead projects of skills and abilities development with entrepreneurs and young people for 20 years.
She is a member of the IUCN Communication Committee (International Union for the Conservation of Nature) which allows her to keep up with initiatives for the care and conservation of the environment. Likewise, she is also a member of Women for the Conservation of CAPLAC and National Councilor of Scouts.
Law degree from the Autonomous University of Coahuila, Master in Socio-Environmental Business Administration and Master in Environmental Law and Public Policy, she receives the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Inter-American Senate in 2017. She speaks Spanish, English and Italian.
In 2005 Karla became the first Ibero-American woman to reach the highest peak of each continent (Las 7 Cumbres) and in 1999 she obtained the remarkable Latin American first to crown the summit of Mount Everest on the northern slope.
Karla worked in different public institutions such as the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Development, the National Women's Institute, as well as in the private sector. She is the author of several books, including “The Third Pole; Ascension to Everest ”,“ Las 7 Cumbres ”,“ 10 habits of the empowered woman ”and winner of multiple awards and recognitions for her sports career.
In recent years he has promoted several projects, among which are: My Summit; My decision and the expeditions of Young Mexican Leaders to the Antarctic. Thanks to this, more than 60 children have graduated as Sustainable Ethical Leaders, marking their development for the environment and their country in a tangible way.
She is currently a consultant and lecturer at W Consultores, a company through which more than 70,000 people have been trained and given more than 4,200 conferences to government entities, companies and universities in different countries.
Karla enthusiastically defends in each of her projects environmental education, work with young people, the impulse of leadership and the empowerment of women.
