Former basketball player, coach and national basketball coach. Expert in team management and leadership
For me, winning is the way to measure success; it's just that success depends on the goals you set for yourself.
What does it take to unite a team around a common goal? How can individual interests be tempered? What is the recipe for continued success? Lolo Sainz has been in the world of basketball for almost 45 years, first as a player and then as a coach, national team manager and, finally, as sports director.
He has covered all facets of the basketball world in Spain and Europe. He has experienced success and failure. And he has overcome them all, from the blindness of triumph to the discouragement of defeat.
After his time as the head of the Real Madrid basketball section, he collaborates with companies and organizations to transmit his experience in subjects such as leadership and teamwork.
Lolo Sainz is backed by a resume full of achievements. He has coached Real Madrid for 14 consecutive seasons and Joventut Badalona.
His achievements are astounding: 10 times Spanish League Champion, 2 times European Champion, 5 times Cup Champion, once Korac Cup Champion, 2 times FIBA Winner's Cup and World Club Champion. As National Coach, he obtained the fifth position in the World Championship held in Athens and the Silver Medal in the European Championship held in France.
