Physicist, with a PhD in Quantum Computing, expert in nanotechnology and Artificial Intelligence, entrepreneur, Radhika Dirks works to transform into daily realities innovations that seem to be taken out of science fiction. As CEO and cofounder of XLabs, her mission is to convert into doable and common, diverse applications of AI and unconventional computing that will change radically the current technological and social paradigm.
Before creating XLabs, she founded the firm Seldn, an artificial intelligence predicting global socio-economic disruptions. She previously co-led cleantech deals as a founding member of Shell’s venture capital group and was COO, Chief Operating Officer, of Rotary Gallop, a game theory based fintech firm.
In her lectures, Dirks unfolds creativity and proposes examples of real technologies developed by her work teams. The scientist argues that artificial intelligence will allow a second Renaissance, by increasing and diversifying the human capacities to unimaginable limits. It´s all about modifying the approach, beyond an AI that mimics and maximizes human intelligence. The goal is to move forward other kind of diverse intelligences: intelligences that could become ‘super-powers’ to us, making us not only more capable, but also more human.
Dirks has addressed demanding audiences such as the World Bank´s Leadership Conference in Singapore (December, 2018), the MBS students at Hass Business School in Berkeley; or the attendants to several most important technological conferences both in Europe, DNB in Oslo, and in the United States: Digital Now, in Orlando, Florida.
She regularly advices Heads of States and technological executives at Fortune 100 companies. She is a regular contributor at Singular University.
Besides, Dirk has authored 29 peer-reviewed publications and has more than 300 citations on next-gen computing and technology.
The world best source of entangled photons for quantum computing was built thanks to the academic research conducted by Dirk. Her doctoral thesis features a whole chapter on teleportation.
In 2014, she took a sabbatical year to backpack Central America. She´s fluent in 5 languages.
